I’m not sure if it was something I watched with my family or a rerun of The World of Disney later in life but I remember as a young person being enthralled by an episode of Walt Disney discussing the idea of the plausible impossible. I fell in love with the idea immediately and maybe it was in that moment that my desire to write was born.
As a writer, my happy place is in the world of ideas and taking ideas that may or may not be possible in real life to weave a story. With the changing of season and accompanying weather patterns my thoughts this morning concern what a perfect day would look like if I could customize the weather.
For me, I think that I would like a chilly winter for when I am sleeping at night so I can be cozily comfortable under my blankets. Then when it’s time to wake up in the morning, maybe a bit brisk like the beginnings of a warm spring day.
While I’m working maybe a mix of sunshine and pop up thunderstorms because I love a good lightning storm.
Then, when I’m free to enjoy my day let it be hot summer weather so I can enjoy time luxuriating in a swimming pool followed by a dinner cooked on a grill and sitting around a fire visiting with friends.
How about you? What weather would complement your ideas of an enjoyable day?
